Mercy

In the first 10 days of Ramadan

On my fortieth solar return

God showed me Mercy

I found scattered pieces of me

Somewhere in Maryland

I felt a mirror of my soul in their voices

They told me my story plainly

My forever prayer answered

in a few short moments

It flowed easily from their mouth

Finally, I know their names

They say sweet, soft words

They want to see my face

 My tree is complete

I stand stronger

And taller today

because of His Mercy

When Allah takes something from you, He will always replace it with something better for you.

Consider it Mercy.
