Naimah Khalifa Bhuruku

Naimah Khalifa Bhuruku is a Haitian American Muslim woman currently residing in Prince George’s County, Maryland but native of South Jersey. She is a child of immigrant parents born and raised Muslim with her 3 sisters. Naimah is a passionate diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility practitioner, a trained facilitator, speaker and a creative enthusiast. Her passion stems from her experiences that have thrust her into environments where she did not feel like she belonged. Her own journey of seeking to belong deepened her curiosity of self and others. What she discovered on that journey is both the absence and value of empathy.

“Ever since I can remember, I have always been intrigued by the life experiences that have shaped human behavior. There is something so beautiful, unique and powerful about each one of us. Our stories add so much texture to the human experience. Yet we all have a set of core fundamental needs despite our differences and that is: to be seen, to be heard, to be valued, and to belong.”

Naimah invites individuals to explore more deeply who they are. She challenges them to unveil the many veils that they hide behind in order to uncover their beautiful foundational selves. She disrupts toxic narratives of I am not enough and shifts that into an I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH mindset. She facilitates conversations anchored in love of Allah, sincere curiosity, and desire to connect with our higher power.

She motivates and empowers seekers of faith, seekers of spiritual awareness, seekers of practical practice and seekers who desire to internalize their belief by expanding their understanding of who Allah, our Creator is in a relatable way.  She seeks to facilitate a transformation of understanding to encourage others to grow in their faith with purposeful presence, balance and radical joy.
